Avery Yoder Named PSAC Scholar-Athlete

Mansfield University student-athlete Avery Yoder of Hamburg, PA has earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2014-15 academic year.

In order to achieve PSAC Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average while competing in an intercollegiate varsity sport. 33% of Mansfield student-athletes earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete status which is up from last year's 31% and 30% in 2012-13.

The 2,690 scholar-athlete total breaks the previous PSAC record of 2,537 set a year ago, while 38% is also a new standard for the conference. The 2,690 total represents 38% of the total 7,161 student-athletes participating in the conference. The league has now registered at least a 30% rate for seven straight years.
