Baylor Earns 2nd Team All-ECAC Division II

Mansfield's Westyn Baylor was named to 2nd Team All-ECAC Division II Baseball honors at outfield in voting conducted amongst member head coaches and released today.

Established in 1938, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) is a collegiate athletic conference comprising of 303 member institutions in NCAA Division I, II, and III ranging in location from Maine to North Carolina and west to Missouri.

Baylor was one of the most feared batters in the conference, leading the team and ranking 19th in the PSAC in batting average at .394. The right fielder topped the Mountaineers in runs (36), hits (56), home runs (10), RBIs (39), total bases (95) and slugging % (.669). Baylor registered a .970 fielding % with just two errors in 66 chances.

Baylor strung together a 12-game hit streak that ended with an 0-4 outing against East Stroudsburg before putting together a career-best 15-game hit streak. Without the hitless game at ESU, Baylor would have set a new PSAC hit streak record at 28 games.

In his two seasons with Mansfield, Baylor hit .361 with 83 RBIs and 65 runs. He totaled 39 extra base hits with 19 doubles, 17 home runs and three triples.
