Bowen Vaults to ECAC Division II Rookie of the Week

Charlsie Bowen was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Rookie of the Week after her impressive collegiate debut at the Brockport Early Season Invitational on Saturday.

Bowen qualified for the PSAC Indoor Championships in the pole vault with her height of 10'6" to finish third overall. The top freshman in the field, Bowen cleared her first two heights easily before clearing 10'6" on her second attempt.

Bowen finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.11 in finals. She registered the second fastest time in prelims at 10.10. Bowen was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished sixth at 4:30.21.
