Fitzpatrick Scores PSAC East Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week

Katie Fitzpatrick has been named PSAC East Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading the Mountaineers to a pair of wins and hitting the 1,000 point milestone.

The senior scored 19 points while recording five rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 78-60 win at Penn State Harrisburg this past Tuesday. On Saturday, Fitzpatrick had a monster game in an 88-61 win over Penn State Brandywine on her way to becoming just the 16th player in program history to hit the 1,000 point milestone in her career. Fitzpatrick went 13-20 from the field for 31 points (one point shy of her career high) and matched her school record set last season with 11 steals. She was just one rebound shy of becoming the 2nd player in school history to record a triple-double.

Fitzpatrick currently leads the PSAC in scoring (22.8 ppg) and steals (3.2 spg) while ranking second in field goal percentage (61.5%) and 15th in rebounding (6.6 rpg).
