Kelly Named ECAC Division II Co-Rookie of the Year

Mansfield University's Brielle Kelly (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) was named ECAC Division II Co-Rookie of the Year in voting conducted amongst conference head coaches.

Kelly was one of the Mountaineer's top offensive threats as a freshman, averaging 10.7 points and 5.7 rebounds while starting all 26 games this past season. She racked up 13 double-figure scoring games with three double-doubles.

The freshman wasted no time making an impact with the Mounties, pouring in 17 points while grabbing 16 boards in a season-opening win over Central Penn. Kelly was red hot over the last six games of the season, averaging 18.0 points over that span while registering a career-best 21 points twice.

Kelly was named to PSAC East Freshman of the Week honors twice during the 2014-15 season and also earned a PSAC East Athlete of the Week nod. She picked up ECAC Division II Rookie of the Week honors as well.

Kelly was named Co-Rookie of the Year along with Pace University's Gabby Rubin.
