Kelly Named PSAC East Freshman of the Week

Mansfield's Brielle Kelly was named PSAC East Freshman of the Week after helping the Mountaineers to their first conference victory of the season this week.

Kelly was a big part of Mansfield's 59-53 win at Cheyney on Saturday, going 5-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line to register 16 points. The freshman was just shy of recording her fourth double-double of the season with a game-high nine rebounds.

On Wednesday, Kelly scored five points and dished out a game-high four assists in a loss against Kutztown at Decker Gymnasium. She also grabbed three boards in the game.

Kelly currently ranks second on the Mountaineers in both scoring (9.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.3 rpg).

Mansfield is back in action this Wednesday when Millersville visits First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium for a PSAC East contest. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
