Kelly Nets ECAC Division II Rookie of the Week

A day after picking up PSAC East Freshman of the Week accolades, Mansfield's Brielle Kelly has been named ECAC Division II Rookie of the Week.

Kelly was an instrumental part of Mansfield's 59-53 PSAC East victory at Cheyney on Saturday that snapped an 18-game losing streak. The rookie was just shy of recording her fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and nine rebounds. Kelly went 5-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line in the win.

On Wednesday, Kelly scored five points and grabbed three rebounds in a loss to Kutztown at Decker Gymnasium. Kelly also dished out a game-high four assists.

Kelly currently ranks second on the Mountaineers in both scoring (9.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.3 rpg).

Mansfield is back in action this Wednesday when Millersville visits First Citizens Community Bank Court at Decker Gymnasium for a PSAC East contest. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
