Rachel Fox and Delaney Meadows Named NSCAA All-Region

2015 Dec 3

Mansfield University freshmen standouts Rachel Fox (Etters/Red Land) and Delaney Meadows (Harrisburg/Susquehanna Township) have been named to National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division II Atlantic All-Region honors in voting conducted by the regional head women's soccer coaches.

It marks the first time in the program's 14 year history that two Mountaineer players have earned NSCAA All-Region honors during the same season.

Fox, who was named 1st Team All-PSAC at goaltender after a stellar freshman season, becomes the first goalie in school history to earn All-Region honors. Her 133 saves on the year were the third most in school history. She posted shutouts against Pitt-Johnstown and Clarion while recording 10 or more saves in a game four times on the season including an incredible 17 save performance in a 3-2 win over Millersville.

Meadows was the fire to Fox's ice after setting a school-record with 12 goals in her rookie season. She also broke the school record for points in season with 26 while finishing second in the PSAC in goals and goals per game to earn PSAC Rookie of the Year as well as 2nd Team All-PSAC honors.

Meadows became the first player in school history to record back-to-back hat-tricks while ranking third in the conference in points and fifth in game-winning goals including the game winner in the final 30 seconds against Millersville.
