Seniors Anthony Renz (Danville, Pa./Danville) and Westyn Baylor (Bangor, Pa./Bangor) were selected to 1st Team All-PSAC East Baseball honors while senior Zach Sacoman (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) and junior Tommy Alexander (Forty Fort, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) were named to 2nd Team in voting conducted by conference head coaches and released on Tuesday.

The four All-PSAC East selections are the most for the Mountaineers since five players were named to All-Conference honors in 2008. Renz started all 40 games for the Mountaineers in 2015 at either third base or designated hitter, posting a .357 batting average with 51 hits in 143 at bats. He drove in 37 RBIs and scored 24 times while ranking ninth in the PSAC with 14 doubles. Renz was second on the team and 13th in the conference with eight home runs this season.

A four-year standout for the Mountaineers, Renz is a career .304 batter with 19 home runs.

Baylor was one of the most feared batters in the conference, leading the team and ranking 19th in the PSAC in batting average at .394. The right fielder topped the Mountaineers in runs (36), hits (56), home runs (10), RBIs (39), total bases (95) and slugging % (.669). Baylor registered a .970 fielding % with just two errors in 66 chances. Baylor hit .361 in his two seasons at Mansfield after transferring from Division I Radford.

Sacoman posted the top ERA on the Mountaineer pitching staff at 3.89 in 16 appearances. The relief pitcher earned four victories on the mound with one save as Mansfield went on to win seven of the 16 games that Sacoman appeared in. In a 14 inning marathon win over Kutztown, Sacoman pitched an incredible 8.0 innings in relief with eight strikeouts and just one earned run to pick up the victory. Opponents batted just .252 against the righty who led the team in strikeouts with 29.

Alexander made six starts on the mound in seven appearances this season for the Mounties, striking out 25 batters. The transfer from Division I Old Dominion posted two complete games including a one-hit shutout of East Stroudsburg with four strikeouts. Alexander walked just 12 batters in 35.1 innings of work.
