Resimo Named Men's Indoor Track MVP; Blose Named Most Improved

Senior Joelsen Resimo (Binghamton, N.Y./Binghamton) was named Mansfield University men's indoor track Most Valuable Player while freshman Kyle Blose (Marysville, Pa./Susquenita) was selected Most Improved. The announcement was made at the Mansfield Winter Sports Banquet this past Monday by head coach Mike Rohl.

Resimo was the undisputed leader for the Mountaineers during the 2014-2015 indoor season. At the Highlander Invite, Resimo hit a PSAC-qualifying time of 4:26.31 in the mile to finish third in the event. Resimo continued his success at the Grand Valley Big Meet by finishing 14th in his 3K heat with a time of 8:59.37. Resimo wrapped up his impressive campaign with a seventh place finish at the PSAC Championships in the mile run bettering his seed time by a full second.

Blose wasted no time in making an impact for the Mountaineers during his freshman season. At the Highlander Invite, Blose placed second in the shot put and hit a PSAC mark with his best throw of 44' 9.75". The freshman continued his success by winning the shot put at the Grand Valley Big Meet with a personal best and PSAC-qualifying attempt of 45' 1.5". Blose wrapped up the season by finishing 16th in the shot put with his best attempt being 39' 4".
