Mansfield University debuts 'Conversations' podcast hosted by Drew Patrick

MANSFIELD, Pa. (09/04/2020) — The Mansfield University Department of Marketing and Communications has released the first episode of the Mansfield University Conversations podcast hosted by Drew Patrick.

The podcast will feature in-depth interviews exploring the lives of Mansfield University faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other members of the campus community. Episodes of Conversations will be released bi-weekly on Tuesdays on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.

"Conversations is a show where we can explore some of the lives of the people that make Mansfield university extraordinary," said Patrick. "I believe everyone has a unique and interesting story of how they got where they are today. I hope to share some of their stories and keys to success."

The premiere episode of Mansfield University Conversations features Dr. Charles Patterson, President of Mansfield University. In the episode, Dr. Patterson and Patrick discuss the career path that led to becoming a university president, challenges faced, and leadership style. Dr. Patterson was named the 28th president of Mansfield University on March 18, 2019.

Patrick, who serves as Mansfield's Assistant Sports Information Director, pioneered the MU Athletics live streaming video platform Mountie All-Access in 2017 and has been an integral part of the success of the Sports Information Department. The Wellsboro, Pa. native is the voice of Mountie All-Access and oversees all athletic streaming video operations, which broadcasts more than 70 live events each academic year. Patrick also hosts athletic-related shows, serves as media coordinator, and assists in the production of university video.

Podcast engineers are Multimedia Specialists Mark Polonia and Houston Baker and Assistant Professor of Communication Andrew Longcore.
